One last ... trip!

There is always the grand finale. In my case, I closed my trip with a wonderful drive up North. I love the scenery more than going South. I suppose it has to do with the rolling hills, b+w spotted cows (nicknamed Clover), fish 'n chips, calamari and tartar sauce and of course wine country. 

California is notorious for taking anything from the World and giving it an American twist, thus creating what we know today as Californian cuisine. It is usually healthy, beautifully displayed and tastes delicious. It is the way Americans perceive Europe (for which the Americans are in for a big surprise). Just like the twist of cuisine, the north part of California also has a twist, reminiscent of the rolling hills and spring greenery of Tuscany. I suppose that is why I love Tuscany so much. It reminds me of back home. Either that or I was a single heiress living in the high hills of my Tuscan villa, protected by my fortress, drinking delicious red wine. Oh, Fantasy, how wonderful you can be!

Vzdy je grand finale. V mem pripade, jsem uzavrela svoji navstevu domova, jizdou na severu. Miluju scenerii, vice nez ta ktera je smerem na jihu (smer L.A.) Mam pocit, ze je to kvuli zvlnenych kopcu, cerne a bile kravy (prezdivkou Clover coz znamena Jetelka), fish 'n chips, kalamari a tatarka a samozrejme vinna zeme. Kalifornie je notoricky znama tim, ze vezme cokkoliv ze sveta a doda "americky obrat", tudiz vytvari co je znamo jako Kalifornska kuchyne. Je vetsinou zdrava, krasne naranzovany jidlo, ktere chutna bajecne. Americani pak kvuli temto "twists" vnimaji Evropu (coz maji pak velke prekvapeni kdyz prijedou do Evropy). Jako obrat kuchyne, tak i severni Kalifornie ma takovy "obrat". Pripomina zvlnenych kopcu a jarni zelen Toskanska. To je asi proc tak miluji Toskansko. Pripomina mi to domova. Bud to, anebo jsem v minulem zivote nevdana dedicka zijici na vyskovem kopci sve toskanske vily, chranena pevnosti a pijici sklenici vyborne cerveneho vina ze sve vinice. Ach, Fantazie, jak uzasna dokazes byt!
